BIO
Ron started playing drums in the fourth grade after seeing future
band mate Lou Gramm of Foreigner play the snare drum in the Star
Spangled
Banner at Thomas Edison elementary school in Gates, New York.
"Some years later, Lou started to show up at
some of my
shows. I couldn't figure out why, as he was a drummer as well. As it
turns out,
Lou was looking for a drummer who could replace him in BLACKSHEEP,
while he went
upfront to pursue his career, as a lead singer." The rest is
history.
Ron is best known for his work with BLACKSHEEP (which featured Lou
Gramm of
FOREIGNER), CHEATER, LIGHTYEARS, (with Billy Sheehan of MR. BIG), TERRA
NOVA,
AND THE SHAKES (produced by Jeff Tyzik.) Tyzik won a Grammy for
producing the
Tonight Show Orchestra with Doc Severenson.)
Some other mentionable bands would be Rooster, Fire Cat, Silver, Jam
Factory,
Silent Scream, Red Heart, Targa, Zulema, Blue Ice, Big Ugly Band, CRC,
and the
reformation of Buxx with Martin Victor.
Ron's
drumming career has spanned 35 years of
professional performing, and includes tour dates with KISS,
TEN YEARS
AFTER, PROCOL HAREM, TODD RUNDGREN, ZZTOP, TED NUGENT, and
many
others.
